Ridge Preservation

Failure of a tooth due to periodontal disease or root fracture can cause defects in the supportive bone structure. Due to the high standards of the aesthetic dentistry today, to achieve a successful result, a ridge preservation technique is performed at the time of extraction. This is done by the placement of the bone graft (autograft or allograft) into the site and sometimes combined with a soft tissue graft when required.
